“We cannot make the Americanization movement a success unless we approach it from the economic standpoint. It is true that governmentally Germany is an autocracy. But there has been a great deal more industrial freedom there than many of our old industrial communities. The German Government says we expect you to work out good results, to get together with the laborer, and yourselves decide what you are going to pay to the doctors who are to pass upon the health of the employes, and the amount of damages any employe merits. The Government insists upon a great amount of self-government by the people themselves.

“I feel that by insistence upon proper housing conditions we shall indirectly approach this. I want to see the immigrant know that he has got to spend a certain amount of his money in decent housing; that he will not be allowed to live on $2.50 per month board basis.

The New York Times.  (February 2, 1916) “A Roosevelt Idea Made in Germany.” p. 5.

What we need to learn from this is that we were and are expected to govern ourselves when it comes to selecting medical care and medical costs.  What we have done since 100 years ago is give up our responsibility and, without realizing it (yet), our freedom.  Freedom to determine the best course of medical treatment for ourselves.

What we have today are the “strong arm tactics” of the insurance industry.  Insurance came from the strong arm tactics of protectionism.  It evolved from the Sheriff of Nottingham requiring peasants pay him for protection.  Of course, there is a certain ironic element of extortion in that!

La Costa Nostra was famous for demanding “payment” in exchange for “protection.”   So, today, 100 years later we have given up huge rights (and duties) in our self-government and in our health care.  We are being held hostage (extorted) by the health insurance companies!

The insurance companies have spoiled everything!  Their policies & procedures have ruined professional practise and limited treatments available.  We have the worst health on the planet as a result of the gargantuan health care system the government has regulated into existence.  The coming “change” in government rationed health care by committee is going to wreak further havoc upon our health.

Scores Die in Mexico Due to Flu–—Are We Facing a Bird Flu Pandemic?

Saturday, April 25th, 2009

Are we witnessing the beginnings of the throes of a possible flu pandemic?

Of bird flu?

Or swine virus?

Avian influenza A (H5N1) virus outbreak?

Or a super bug combining the terrible (as in “terror”) features of all three???

Why has the Department of Homeland Security under Janet Napolitano recently changed its policy from an emphasis upon preventing terrorism to a policy emphasizing natural disasters, such as a national emergency due to health issues including bioterrorism?

Did you know that the motto of Homeland Security under a Google search is “Preserving our Freedoms?”

http://www.google.com/search?q=homeland+security&rls=com.microsoft:en-us&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&startIndex=&startPage=1

Why has Janet Napolitano failed to close our borders in the face of an outbreak of the world’s most feared type of flu?

Scientists have been warning us about the bird flu for years, yet neither Napolitano nor Obama will give this matter the time of day.

There have already been victims in the United States and many more victims AND deaths in Mexico, yet why has Homeland Security done nothing?

From the DHS website itself we learn that the mission of the department is:

Preparedness & Response

In the event of a terrorist attack, natural disaster or other large-scale emergency, the Department of Homeland Security will provide a coordinated, comprehensive federal response and mount a swift and effective recovery effort.

The Department assumes primary responsibility for ensuring that emergency response professionals are prepared for any situation.

Shouldn’t Napolitano and Obama be closing our border with Mexico and curtailing all exposure possible to this infectious agent to prevent a flu pandemic in the United States of America?

Oh, I forget!  Obama considers himself President of the World, the New World Order.  And Janet thinks of herself as a member of the global elite.

My, Janet, “you’ve come a long way baby” from representing Anita Hill and attacking Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas with false allegations of sexual harassment!

Why don’t you mention your real claim to fame on your bio page?

Representing Anita Hill put you in the eye of the public and brought national attention to you.

The Thirty Dirty Words

Saturday, April 25th, 2009

The Sixteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution (Amendment XVI) allows the Congress to levy an income tax without apportioning it among the states or basing it on a census:

“The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment amoung the several States, and without regard to any census on enumeration.” (Sic)*

These are thirty dirty words, very dirty words.

Compare these thirty dirty words to the applicable sections of the Constitution itself:

Section 8 – Powers of Congress

The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and  Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

Section 9 – Limits on Congress

No capitation, or other direct, Tax shall be laid, unless in Proportion to the Census or Enumeration herein before directed to be taken.

An Impost is a tax or duty.

The Welfare of the country is its health, happiness, or prosperity; well-being.

Welfare today also means organized efforts on the part of public or private organizations to benefit the poor, or simply public assistance. This is not the meaning of the word as used in the Constitution.

What’s your opinion?

Is the Income Tax Constitutional?

Or was the Federal Government intended to be run on tariffs and duties?

Keep in mind that tariffs and duties were applied to imports, goods and items being brought into the country from the outside.

Today we are all required to bow down and worship “the god of Free Trade!”

Tell me “Liberalism” isn’t a religion!!!

Today’s Show: January 31, 2009

Saturday, January 31st, 2009

Today’s show will feature me—solo.  Many folks prefer when I am on by myself.  For one, I am less inhibited and I drop a ton more information.  For another, there are times when the flow achieved on air solo is very good.  And because the hour is so short, many prefer to hear just from me.

Oddly enough when I “prepare” the show tends to fall flat.  Nonetheless, when solo I can get derailed and fail to connect the dots.  Therefore, feel free to call in about anything on my blog or to get me on the track you want me on.

Once I take off in a direction, if I sense that it is not garnering much interest (no phone calls or e-mail) then I am apt to change direction before finishing that subject.  However, today I have enough information for about four hours and we’ll see how I cram some part of that in a way that makes sense.

Expect me to speak on several levels at once and to change from “micro” to “macro” levels, from small personal examples to the Big Picture, not merely in juxtaposition but to demonstrate parallelism and attempt to get across some subtle yet profound points of truth.

Enjoy these days my friends.  These may be the best that we have left.  Invest in yourself and your health first & foremost because the roller coaster ride I see coming in June is beyond my ability to express in words.
