My Home in Chandler Sold in Foreclosure Sale

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010

Last month I lost my house in Chandler to a foreclosure sale for $164,000.  My realtor Vic Gustafson with Keller Williams did his best with an investor to get a short sale.  While we came very close, the mortgage company, GMAC, was obviously NEVER working with us in a sincere manner.  The investor’s initial offer was $133,000 and he ultimately raised it to $161,000 but GMAC’s negotiator was never sincere in working with them.

As a result, I paid utilities & monthly HOA fees and I kept the place up for more than six months—all to no avail.  It appears GMAC Mortgage Company was only leading us on so that they would not have to pay the utilities & HOA fees and maintenance while they gathered as much intelligence on me as they could in order to shake me down.

While I do not like having to walk away from it, I am glad it’s over.  Certainly, I do not advocate walking out on one’s obligations.  But in this case I was waylaid by both my former employer, the Arizona Department of Corrections, and my “former” licensure board, the Arizona Board of Psychologist Examiners.

I was wrongly terminated.  I was incessantly harassed by my own Board in an effort to shut me up, and, ultimately, my health became compromised.  My Board denied me my ability to work and support myself.  There was no way I could keep my home due to lack of income and deprivation of my ability to earn a living.

What can I tell you about mortgage companies, the government programs to assist home owners to stay in their homes and short sale processes & foreclosures?

In brief,

WALK AWAY.

Don’t bother trying to work with any of them.  They are all dirty.  It is all crooked.  When I told the reception at GMAC’s “Recovery Loss Center” that I needed a “reasonable accommodation” due to auditory processing problems, I was immediately passed to the “Government Recovery Loss Center!”

They all work together.  Even HUD Housing counseling is a farce.  True, they help you with a budget, but they collect all this personal sensitive data and share it with (a) your mortgage company and (b) with the government!

Had Bush not bailed out the banks and allowed them to experience true free market forces & consequences, the banks & mortgage companies would not be treating us so harshly.  They would be forced to work with us.  But instead, they have been bailed out and programs put in place that are not only ineffective, they are a bunch of lines.

When the government holds more than 96% of all mortgages, you know something is wrong.  There is no market.  It is all inflated and far over-valued.  Washington DC has destroyed property rights!

When the Declaration Independence was being composed, there was debate about the three words.  “Life, Liberty, and Property” would have been far more accurate and apropos than what we got.

This country was founded upon a strong foundation of protecting individual property rights but, alas, that foundation has been broken.

My advice?  Walk off.  Do not attempt a “short sale.”  Don’t bother with the phony and treacherous government programs.  Give them back the property.

Certainly, the mortgage company experienced losses on my house but my personal losses were even greater.  It turned out to be damned expensive rent.

“Stimulus Money” is Drugs and Arizona needs to Kick the Habit before Addiction

Sunday, August 9th, 2009

Arizona needs to face the fact former Governor Napolitano unethically enlarged Arizona State government without utilizing the proper methods.  Napolitano violated the Arizona State Constitution when she enlarged government with fraudulent accounting methods to create her pet programs—even after the voters voted some down!

She got away with it and Napolitano bankrupted our State.

Now, Arizona has been offered “Stimulus” “Bail Out” money but it comes with strings.

Like a dope dealer, the Obama Administration, dare I say Napolitano herself, has written for one-time funds specifically targeted to bail out Napolitano’s immoral and unethical enlargement of Arizona State services.

And like a drug dealer, the Federal government wants to get Arizona hooked so that our State will be forced to accept Napolitano’s philosophy and the unwanted programs Napolitano foisted off on Arizonans.

It is time

We face the facts and the truth.

Either we kick the habit now or those programs we never wanted become a full fledged addiction sucking the life blood from the honest tax payers of Arizona.

We no longer have a representative government and this can not continue much longer.

The sooner we wake up, reclaim our State’s rights and get our ship of State running the way we citizens of Arizona want it, the easier it will be and the sooner we will prosper.

Otherwise, we might as well admit it:

The State of Arizona government has a real drug problem that is costing US dearly.

To former Governor Janet Napolitano

To the Obama Administration and

To Governor Janet Brewer,

The time has come for Arizonans to take a stand and I say

Just Say No!*

*Advice of the Honorable Former First Lady Nancy Reagan

Governor Jan Brewer Has to Go

Thursday, July 9th, 2009

We need honesty in leadership and governance and Jan Brewer is incapable of any!

Let me explain why:

Governor Brewer is a Democrat in disguise.  Jan Brewer maintains the Napolitano legacy.  She has become merely an extension of the Janet Napolitano Administration.

Allow to speak from my area of expertise.

Since the advent of “The Great Society” more than 40 years ago, the research over the decades demonstrated clearly programs like “Head Start” do not work.  The benefits of “Head Start” are completely gone by fourth grade and children drop out of high school at the same rate as when there is no “Head Start.”  “Head Start” does not change outcomes.  The high school drop out rate remains unchanged!

Indeed, programs like “Head Start” cost us, in terms of money and in terms of poorer outcomes for children.  Likewise, full day Kindergarten is totally ineffective.  True, it is state funded childcare but studies have long shown that there is no net benefit from Kindergarten.

Moreover, children who attend Kindergarten do not do as well as those who stay at home with mom.  Studies show children who remain in the home with their mothers do better intellectually and experience better life outcomes than those who attend Kindergarten.

So, rather than face facts demonstrated across time in repeated studies, Jan Brewer has decried to continue the Napolitano legacy and folly.

So, Brewer decided that Arizona will take the dope, the drugs, will take the one-time “Bail Out” written specifically for Arizona by Secretary of Homeland Security Napolitano and place more burdens in perpetuity upon the backs of Arizonans!

Federal “Bail Out” money, federal “Stimulus Money” is neither.  They are neither ‘bail out’ nor ‘stimulus’ but are added burden to a destroyed economy.  They are nothing more than dope.  It is STUPID.

It only has a narcotic effect:

We’ll get them hooked for free, then we’ll tax them to death for it.

Financial Time’s Gillian Tett Hits another One Out of the Park!

Friday, March 20th, 2009

As I said, I am in love with this woman’s mind.  Her writing is impeccable.  Her mastery of the English language undeniable and her Insight is excellent.  The first two paragraphs of her column today, Friday March 20 are very insightful.  However, I must admit I don’t know what “market makers” are.

Let me sum those paragraphs up:

‘While the politicians on both sides of the Atlantic have vowed to clamp down on “greedy” speculators and go after those engaged in “unbridled risk-taking” . . . the “disappearance of risk capital” is a key reason so much of the financial machinery is failing to work.’

Think about that.

Because we are fixated on pursing anyone or any organization which takes risks and appears greedy, we have chased all the players out the market because there is nothing to gain and much to lose.

In ball playing terms: Because the politicians keep changing the rules of the game, the investors who take the risks have taken their ball and gone home.  Who can blame them?

Tett’s Insight column is an another indicator that the governments on both sides of the Atlantic need to get out of the way and let the markets function as they should—those who lose should be allowed to fail; however, those who succeed should be allowed to reap the rewards of their efforts and their risk taking.

While Obama and his minions keep changing the rules of the game, the Obama Administration is having one effect:

It is keeping everything unstable.

And, IMO, this appears “purposeful.”

In other words,

The Obama Administration is creating instability on purpose,

With a reason.

And it is not a good reason.

One piece of evidence that this instability is intentional is the fact that the US Congress, Senate and President knew about AIG’s contractual obligations to pay bonuses.  How do I come to that conclusion you ask?  Simple.  Senator Dodd added wording that exempted “contractually obligated bonuses” into the Bail Out Legislation.

These political folks keep playing both sides against the middle, against us.  And it’s got to stop.  Otherwise, they are going to destroy everything.  If they can tax those bonuses out of existence, they can tax any of us off the map.  In fact, let me step out and say that this is exactly what God wants.

Wake up, America!

You, we are the target.

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer Must Go!

Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009

If the Republicans want to keep the Governor’s Office, they’d better bring a different candidate forward during the next election or risk losing the Governor’s Office once again to Democrats!  There is no choice.  Either bring forward a far stronger candidate who is a real leader or lose!

While Governor Jan Brewer made an excellent Secretary of State, it is readily apparent that the current Republican Governor is not a “leader.”  Why?  First, almost as soon as Brewer took office, she went to work on “political appearances” and attending “feel good” publicity events.  She appeared to be focused on running (prematurely) for election to the office she had just inherited!

Second, Brewer does not have the intelligence of her predecessor former Governor Janet Napolitano.  Napolitano is more intelligent and was a far more effective as a leader than Brewer—even though Napolitano’s philosophy and policies were misguided she was effective.

The discriminating point is that after more than a month in office, it is readily apparent that Jan Brewer is not leading!  Rather than make decisions herself, Brewer is requiring division directors under her to make major decisions.  While this might seem to be respectful of the division director’s turf, it is neglect of her gubernatorial responsibilities to the citizenry of Arizona.  And apparently Brewer thinks that by avoiding making the tough decisions and allowing others to lead her, she might not offend anyone, thereby be more electable during her first real run for the Governor’s Office.

Advice to Governor Jan Brewer:

The only way to survive, for both you politically and the State, you need to lead.  You need to make the tough decisions.  Hard times require one to make serious decisions and not be derelict in duties by forcing underlings to make decisions you ought to be making.

This requires a commitment to make the tough decisions and the right decisions regardless of who might be offended.  And the final irony is it appears Governor Jan Brewer is going to accept the Federal Bail Out with all strings attached.  Those strings reek of former Governor Janet Napolitano’s handiwork:  Brewer is letting Napolitano continue to dictate to her and allow her to run the Arizona Governor’s Office from Washington, DC!

My advice:

Governor Brewer, you are a nice lady.  Put your personal political ambitions aside.  Make the commitment to serve Arizona to the best of YOUR abilities.  Make the tough decisions and take the responsibility.  Make the commitment to see Arizona to fiscal health and a return to sound policy.

Prepare to step aside for another Republican candidate for the good of your party and the State.  Be prepared to return to your position and wonderful service as Arizona’s Secretary of State.

Otherwise, your wishy-washiness and noncommittal approach to leadership will doom any run for the Governor’s Office and risk Arizona suffering through another Democrat governor, maybe even making it possible for Terry Goddard to be elected Governor.

Goddard must resign as Attorney General.  Goddard has allowed his offices to be used unethically and in a fashion it could charged under RICO—the criminal laws for prosecuting organized crime—which is what Goddard has allowed the Attorney General’s Office to become!

Obama’s “Mortgage Address,” Mesa, Arizona 18 Feb 2009

Wednesday, February 18th, 2009

I sit maybe 8 miles from the high school where Obama addressed the nation earlier this morning.  While Obama proffers another safety net, it raises concern regarding fairness.  It raises more questions than answers.  For one, when is it fair to bail out one and not another?

This reasoning and questioning is endless.  However, allow me to reduce it to one factor:  Any government intervention will result in more disorder and the future looks bleak.

While those decrying Bush’s policies roar, it sounds hollow, almost shrill. After all, it appears Obama is continuing what Bush began and Bush prepared the way for Obama rather well.  Certainly, the interferences of each on the markets are having untoward effects.

One thing about the market, it always corrects itself.  That is, when we leave it alone long enough to establish equilibrium.  But as long as we mess with it and “fine tune it,” we further delay the inevitable forces of the market achieving equilibrium.  That is, if we really have a free market, if we really have Constitutional money, and if we really have sound policy.

Policy, policy, policy!  I thought what mattered most were “principles.”

Rather than grow government and expand government with new programs and policies, maybe we should try going back to the Constitution and its sound principles?  Maybe if we cut government, especially the Federal government and return to our Constitutional roots, this might all work out in short order.

In fact, let me make a prediction:

If we went back to a limited central government and abided by our Constitution, we could easily work our way out of these messes and into a healthy, vibrant economy that is secure within two years.

But if das Führer continues running up our tab with $5,000 a night lodging in Scottsdale, we might all end up on the streets!  Except the bankers, as Federal employees, they should afford roofs over their heads.  Obama’s “Mortgage Address” and his promises were the deception of the day—while the real deal of the day was nationalization of the banks!

Welcome, comrades, to the Soviet Socialist States of America!

I never dreamed I would live to see the Golden Days of the USA and our well engineered destruction from within!

Medical Community Terrified by Hidden Measures within Obama’s “Stimulus Bill”

Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601039&refer=columnist_mccaughey&sid=aLzfDxfbwhzs

While Bloomberg covers part of this, one must be a member of the Medical Community to get full access to these proposals.  Moreover, the Medical Community will “shut up” in short order and “go along” to “get along” because in order to survive professionally they will soon be forced to knuckle under.

Folks, this is The New World Order and the FDA:

The “Federal Death Administration.”

What is being rushed through unopposed by either party, including so-called “Republicans,” is:

Physicians will NOT be allowed to treat any “chronic” condition in anyone age 62 & over.

Age 62 is critical because that is the age for Social Security.  They don’t want us to draw it unless you’re an illegal alien.  Then they’ll make any illegal “disabled.”

Neither Drudge nor Bloomberg report this, but here is the flash through the Medical Community via physicians who subscribe and are members to medical databases which spell out the sordid details of how the new administration, Obama and “Change,” are going to target older people in the United States for termination.  Some will die more slowly and more painful deaths than others according to medical experts consulted.

Sadly, three (3) so-called Republicans (and this time it’s not John McCain) who are females have jumped sides and there’s no stopping Obama’s Stimulus Package.

God save us and open the eyes of these three Republican “Death Angels” and the Democrats.
